11 November marked the end of World War One. The Embassy of France in Poland hosted a ceremony at Powązki Cemetery to remember all those who fought and died in the Great War.

Over 200,000 people from the island of Ireland fought in the conflict, with over 30,000 losing their lives. Ambassador Haughey joined the Embassy of France and other Ambassadors to remember them, and all those who lost their lives.
