Visit by Irish Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth

Minister Roderic O’Gorman visited Poland from 30 November to 2 December 2022.

He represented Ireland at the 29th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Łódź. Afterwards he travelled to Warsaw to hear about Poland’s remarkable humanitarian response to those fleeing Ukraine. He met with representatives from the UNHCR, UNICEF and the International Organisation for Migration, as well as representatives of the Polish Minister for Social Integration. He also met Vice-Minister Anna Schmidt, the Polish Government’s Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment, and representatives from civil society including Trans-Fuzja, Lambda Warsaw, Campaign Against Homophobia, Federation Signs of Equality and Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
