Minister of State Byrne visits Slovakia

Ireland's Minister of State for Health Promotion and the National Drugs Strategy, Ms. Catherine Byrne T.D. visited the Slovak Republic from 11-12 March 2019. She launched her visit with a speech at the Embassy's St Patrick's Day reception, and a "greening" of the iconic Carlton Hotel building. During her visit Minister of State met with State Secretary for Health Dr Španik, and discussed the health strategies of both countries. Minister of State Byrne also met with representatives of the Irish business representatives and visited Resoty, the homeless shelter founded by Anton Srholec and managed by Irish Presentation nun sister Rita Carberry.
