Virtual Launch of the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, US-Ireland Business Report 2021

On Monday, 15 March, the Consulate hosted a virtual event to launch the US-Ireland Business Report 2021 in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and the Consulate General of Ireland, San Francisco. This year’s report coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and celebrates this important milestone with highlights of US business in Ireland over the past six decades, the development and advancements in the Irish economy during this period and thought leadership insights on Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability and the Future of Work.

Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney TD provided opening remarks for the event, sharing key insights from the 2021 report and underscoring the unique size and strength of the Ireland-US business relationship.

The event also included a panel discussion on strengthening Ireland’s place at the heart of the transatlantic business relationship post-COVID with AmCham President and Head of Facebook Ireland Gareth Lambe; IDA Executive Director Mary Buckley; Nearform CCO Larry Breen; and Leigh Volkland, Senior Director at Edwards Life Sciences. The discussion was moderated by AmCham CEO Mark Redmond.

The US-Ireland Business Report 2021 is the most recent in a series of AmCham reports which analyse the latest data on Ireland-US trade and investment flows, and illustrate the positive reciprocal economic impact of the Ireland-US trade and investment relationship. Read the full report here.
