Gingold Theatrical Group is in the midst of their SPEAKERS' CORNER New Play Development program with presentations of four newly written plays as workshop performances. Tonight, and two next week. Details can be found here.

Origin Theatre Company, in association with Irish Arts Center, launches Scéal Nua, (New Story) a new playwriting program led by accomplished Irish writer and actor Sarah Street. The program, which runs from January 22nd - April 2024, is designed to nurture and elevate emerging playwrights from the Irish diaspora community in New York City. Irish Network NYC’s has its holiday party at The Tailor on December 13 at 6:30 pm, 2 hour open bar for members, food and fun. Contact Tim Borchers/see their social media for details, here.

Irish Business Organization of New York will be hosting their Christmas Party at Mary O's (32 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009) on Wednesday, December 13 at 6:00pm. There will be a buffet dinner, complimentary drink tickets, and merriment galore!  For tickets and information, see here.

Irish Arts Center presents Céilí, Seán Curran and Darrah Carr’s celebration of Irish social dance, which returns to Irish Arts Center this holiday season after its sold-out premiere last year. Limited run December 14-17. For tickets and more information, see here.

The New York Irish Center will be getting a visit from Santa himself on Sunday, December 10 from 2-4PM. Pictures and holiday treats for everyone, and every child leaves with a toy ($5/ child). On Tuesday, December 12 at 7PM NYIC has their Community Christmas Showcase with all students and artists who use the Irish Center throughout the year. Mulled wine on hand! The Notre Dame Club of NYC has its holiday party at the 69th Regiment Armory on December 14 at 6:30 pm.  Tours of the Armory with its long connection to the Irish will be given.  All are welcome. No cover, $7 drinks. For tickets and more information, see here.

* And in continuing our theme of hosting First Fridays on 2nd Friday, next month’s FF will be on Friday, Jan 12. We will have Culture Ireland in town and many artists and performers from Ireland, so please come join us to kick off another New Year of Irish culture.*
