Cultúr Club Aotearoa

We are delighted to invite participants aged 6-11 (we will be announcing a programme for young people ages 12-16 shortly) for the next series of Cultúr Club which will be held in the Embassy on four successive Sunday afternoons from 31st October.

What is the purpose of the Club?

To give children with family connections or an interest in Ireland a fun way to learn about Ireland’s culture including our legends, music, dance and language. The format will consist of various group activities, role-play, art and more. Craic, Ceol & Cultúr all the way - Fun, Music & Culture.

 

Who can participate?

Any children based in the Greater Wellington Region aged 6-11. You do not have any Irish ancestry to join - just an interest in Ireland.

 

Where will the classes take place?

The Embassy of Ireland, Level 10, 86 Victoria Street, Wellington.

 

What dates/time are the classes?

On 4 successive Sundays, starting on 31 October (Hallowe'en), 7 November, 14 November, 21 November.

From 1.00-2:30pm 

 

Can I accompany my child during the class?

Due to space constraints this will not be possible. Parent/guardian can drop child off at designated commencement time of class and return to collect promptly at finishing time.

 

Does my child need to bring anything?

No. All materials are provided. A light snack will also be provided. 

The first session takes place on Samhain (Hallowe'en) we urge the children to come dressed in Hallowe'en costumes.

 

What is the cost?

There is no cost to join Cultúr Club Aotearoa. However, you do need to register your child/children on Eventbrite to join as places are limited.
