Call on Irish citizens who wish to return to Ireland over the next number of days

Irish citizens who wish to return from Austria are advised to do so as soon as possible as fewer options may be available due to an expected reduction in scheduled flights. If you are concerned that your flights might be cancelled, please contact your airline. Links to the some airlines flying from Austria to Ireland are provided below.

Aer Lingus
Ryanair
Austrian Airlines

Please note that this is an evolving situation and we would ask you to keep an eye on local media, Austrian Ministries’ websites and the Department’s travel notices.

If you would like to receive travel advice you can ring the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs’ dedicated phone line +353 (0)1 613 1733 or visit the Department’s website and FB pages @dfatireland. If you intend to travel soon you can also register online.

Attention: We have restricted our public office to appointment only. Please call ahead and/or send an email with your request and contact details to vienna@dfa.ie and we will arrange an appointment with you.
