Presentation of Hannah Lynch and Spain

Presentation of Hannah Lynch and Spain

The Ambassador hosted the presentation of Hannah Lynch and Spain, Collected Journalism of an Irish New Woman 1892-1903, which is a fully annoted edition of Hannah Lynch´s articles on Spain - many of which are devoted to travel - together with a crictical study of her connections with the country. Lynch, a cosmopolitan New Woman, viewed Spain with ambivalence, impatient with its resistence to change but seduced by its landscapes and peoples. Her writing, revealing of the author´s committment to women's emancipation, warrants attention from those wishing to further expolre women's contributions to the cultural and literary relations between Ireland and the Iberian Penninsula.

The book is available online at http://edizionicafoscari.unive.it/it/edizioni/libri/978-88-6969-293-2/ where it can be downloaded. If you wish to purchase the text in paperback can email ecf_redazione@unive.it
