The Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic organised a series of events commemorating Schuman Day (9 May) so called “European Days”. The main event celebrating the Europe Day was an open-air public information and cultural event held on Wednesday, 9 May, on Střelecký ostrov in Prague. It featured a cultural programme including a concert of famous Czech bands and other artists, public information stands, debates and contests, as well as a supervised play area for children and other activities. The Embassy had a stand there, where it offered promotional materials and samples of Irish food.
