26 February 2021Chicago Irish Film Festival 2021 March 4-8
The Chicago Irish Film Festival will be held virtually for the first time in its 22 year history from March 4 - 8. Presenting a brand new crop of films from Irish filmmakers, the festival includes the usual mix of feature films, documentaries and shorts you have come to expect, as well as Q&A sessions, workshops and some exciting program collaborations. And naturally, considering the year we have all had, it also includes eight short films that touch on Covid-19 from every direction including ridiculous responses to Ireland’s lockdowns to looking at life in a whole new way with wonderful results.
Of note is the multi-award winning period drama set during the famine, Arracht - Ireland's entry to the 2021 Academy Awards in the Best International/Foreign Language category. There are too many extraordinary movies here to feature one or two. Join us in watching these fascinating movies over 4 days and participating in the Q&A's. Thanks to the CIFF team for putting this all together.
