Statement on behalf of 38 participating States that invoked the OSCE Moscow Mechanism

On 22ndSeptember 2022, the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the OSCE delivered a statement on behalf of 38 of 57 participating States who invoked the Moscow Mechanism.  The Moscow Mechanism, adopted in 1991, is an OSCE instrument which calls upon a team of experts to assist participating States in the resolution of a particular question or problem relating to human rights. The Moscow Mechanism report published in September 2022 investigated human rights violations in the Russian Federation against the backdrop of its war of aggression in Ukraine.
