1-20 December: AFI European Union Film Showcase including two Irish films

6 November: Nigerian Irish playwright Bisi Adigun and Irish author Roddy Doyle team up to reimagine J.M. Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World as the story of a Nigerian refugee in present-day Dublin. The play, which was commissioned by Arambe Productions and is produced by Solas Nua, runs at the Atlas Performing Arts Center through 20 November.

21 October: Irish Sierra Leonean musician Loah performs at Metro Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland, as part of her U.S. tour with Alex Cameron.

15 October: The Middleburg Film Festival features two Irish films, Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin by and Sebastián Lelio’s The Wonder (based on the novel by Emma Donoghue), through 16 November.

14 October: Tony Award–winner Bill Irwin brings his intimate production On Beckett to the Modlin Center for the Arts in Richmond, Virginia.
