Ireland and Cyprus established diplomatic relations in 1985

The Embassy of Ireland in Cyprus

The non-resident Ambassadors accredited to Cyprus were:

Jeremy Craig, based in Lebanon. Accredited to Cyprus 1985-1987

Patrick McCabe, based in Iraq. Accredited to Cyprus 1987-1989

Anton Mac Unfraidh, based in Iraq. Accredited to Cyprus 1989- 1991

Liam Rigney, based in Athens. Accredited to Cyprus 1994-1997

Patrick Craddock, based in Athens. Accredited to Cyprus 1997-2001

The Embassy of Ireland in Cyprus opened on the 22nd October 2001

Ambassador John Swift presented his credentials on the 26th November 2001. He served until the 5th of February 2006.

Ambassador Thomas Brady presented his credentials on the 25th August 2006. He served until the 8th of June 2010.

Ambassador Patrick Scullion presented his credentials on the 5th August 2010. He served until the 30th September 2013. 

Ambassador Nicholas Twist presented his credentials on the 4th November 2013. He served until the 21st July 2017.

Ambassador Deirdre Ní Fhallúin presented her credentials on the 17th October 2017. She served until the 20th July 2021.

Ambassador Conor Long (current Ambassador) presented his credentials on the 30th September 2021.

 

  • The Embassy of Ireland in Cyprus opened on the 22nd October 2001
