Julian Gough: Reading and Writers' Workshop

Renowned contemporary Irish writer Julian Gough, winner of the 2007 BBC Short Story Award, will hold a reading and facilitate a workshop in Vienna this November.

Julian Gough

On the evening of Thursday 12th November, award-winning author of "The Orphan and the Mob" and "The iHole" Julian Gough will read excerpts from his work in a convivial atmosphere at Lane & Merriman’s Pub. Refreshments will be provided.

"This novella is very funny – laugh-out-loud at times… Gough is one of our most talented satirists" — The Irish Independent

The following weekend, Gough will hold a workshop for Write:Now, the association of English-language writers in Austria. The workshop is entitled “Short Story Writing for the Twenty-First Century”, and will aim to help young writers better to understand their own minds, to gain a deeper insight into the fundamentals of the short story and to offer an overview of the publishing world today.
