Tánaiste publishes advice on financial and economic activities in Israeli settlements in the OPT

The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Eamon Gilmore, TD, has today published advice to Irish citizens and businesses on financial and economic activities in Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Tánaiste said: “The advice being published today on my Department’s website, which is also being issued by many of our EU partners, is a further step in making clear our opposition to the illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

"The advice is designed to assist Irish businesses and the general public to be aware of the risks involved in investment in settlements, and to make clear that the Government does not encourage or offer support in any way to such activity.”
