Minister for European Affairs, Helen McEntee, travels to Slovenia for two-day working visit

The Minister of State for European Affairs, Helen McEntee, T.D. travels to Ljubljana, Slovenia, today for a two day working visit. During her visit Minister McEntee will meet with her counterpart, State Secretary Dobran Božič, and the Foreign Minister, Dr. Miro Cerar, along with other key political figures in Slovenia.
During the visit, Minister McEntee will discuss Ireland’s bilateral relationship with Slovenia, as well as topical issues such as the negotiations for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), Brexit, the Future of Europe and the Western Balkans.
Speaking ahead of her visit, Minister McEntee said:
"Ireland has excellent bilateral relations with Slovenia and I’m looking forward to meeting with my counterpart State Secretary Dobran Božič and others to discuss issues including Brexit, the Multi-Annual Financial Framework and the Future of Europe. On Brexit, I want to thank Slovenia for their ongoing support throughout the negotiations. The visit will also be an opportunity to hear from Slovenia on developments in the Western Balkans where I intend to travel next month.”
