Minister sympathises with the Chinese people on behalf of Ireland


The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan, TD, today expressed condolences on behalf of the people of Ireland to the Chinese people on the tragic events at Tianjin.

Minister Flanagan stated:

“On behalf of the Government and people of Ireland, I have extended sincere condolences for the tragic and heavy loss of life arising from the dreadful accident at Tianjin [Binhai New Area] yesterday.

“Our heartfelt sympathy as a nation goes to the families of those who were killed and all the survivors and their loved ones.

“My thoughts are with the people of Tianjin today as they mourn their loss.”
