New Mission Strategy for Ireland's engagement in Vietnam and the Mekong Sub-region 2017-2020

On 24 November 2017, Minister Richard Bruton T.D. presented Ireland's new Strategy for engagement with Vietnam and the Mekong Sub-region in 2017-2020 to Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh. The new Strategy includes a budget of €40 million in untied grant aid for development cooperation partnerships, increased support for people to people links, and a strong emphasis on growing two way trade.
