Irish Culture

Ireland has a rich cultural heritage which we share through special events with the people of Tanzania.

The Embassy is involved in a broad range of cultural activities that raise awareness of Ireland and enhance our ties with Tanzania. 

Our main cultural events take place around St. Patrick's Day in the month of March. St. Patrick's Day is a global celebration of what it means to be Irish; the spirit, the determination, the creativity and that indefinable something that makes us who we are. The Embassy regularly participates in the Annual European Union Film Festival showcasing Irish cinema with Irish films being supplied courtesy of the Irish Film Institute.
