Rose of Tralee, Ms Maria Walsh, visits Tanzania

The Embassy hosted the Rose of Tralee, Ms Maria Walsh, and Development Perspectives’ Insight 2015 group, for an evening of discussion and sharing of perspectives on Tanzania and Ireland.

Among the participants were Tanzanian youth development organisation UVIKIUTA, who are an exchange partner of Insight 2015.

A number of its members expect to undertake a reciprocal visit to Ireland later this year as part of the programme.

Development Perspectives is a Development Education NGO based in Drogheda, Ireland, and is part of a national and global network of curious and critical thinkers working for social justice.

Insight is an eight month long development education programme that takes place annually in both Ireland and overseas, encouraging experiential learning and exchange of ideas.
