Ambassador Gilsenan travelled to Tabora on Nyerere Day to witness a citizenship ceremony where 162,000 former Burundian refugees, resident in Tanzania since the 1970s, were conferred with Tanzania citizenship by His Excellency, Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
