Ambassador Cooney is awarded the honour of “Amigo de la Cultura Celta”

Ambassador Cooney was invited to receive the special award of the “Amigo de la Cultura Celta” and attend a round table discussion in the Casa de Galicia Madrid, on the many historical links between Ireland and Galicia and Portugal during the Celtic period.

The event was also attended by Antonio Raul de Toro, Director of Irish Studies Amergin, Ramón Sainero Sánchez, teacher at UNED of Celtic and Irish Literature and the renowned Galician musician Carlos Nuñez, amongst others.
