Minister for Small Business visited Madrid for St. Patrick’s Day “Promote Ireland” programme

Minister of State for Small Business, Mr John Perry, T.D., visited Madrid from 12-15 March for a full programme of business, community and cultural events. His agenda included meetings with senior management of the Corte Inglés on the sale of Irish beef; working visits with Enterprise Ireland client companies Novum, Monicon Technologies, Openjaw, Kanchi, Openet and Ezetop; meeting with top executives from the Spanish telecommunications giant, Telefonica; a reception to market Ireland as destination for English-language education; launch of a book examining the contribution of the Irish to Spanish military history; a meeting with the mayor of Madrid; and attendance as guest of honour at the Spanish-Irish Business Network St. Patrick’s Day Ball.
