Crescendo Verde – Growing Green
“Growing Green” or (“Crescendo Verde” in Portuguese) is an essential part of the Embassy of Ireland’s vision in Mozambique. We are proud to support local partners who test and implement solutions in two key areas of action - climate and youth. Through our Innovation Funds, we boost the national green ecosystem, supporting sustainable projects that stand out for their innovation and potential for replication at national level. By supporting these projects we aim to catalyse and develop an ecosystem of green entrepreneurs, “greenpreneurs”.

In 2022, the Embassy produced the Growing Green brochure to showcase the work of the Embassy’s partnerships in advancing young green entrepreneurship in Mozambique, within the scope of our climate action commitments for a better world.
Each of the 13 projects highlighted in the brochure are a shining example of young Mozambican talent using innovation and creativity to find green solutions for a more sustainable future.

Crescendo Verde - Growing Green by Cork Youth Orchestra and Dom Júnior
On 22 April 2022 to mark World Earth Day, the Embassy released an original piece of music called ‘Crescendo Verde’, as part of an Ireland-Mozambique collaboration between the Irish Cork Youth Orchestra and Mozambican musician Dom Junior.
The Embassy is pleased to link youth from different countries in an effort to bring climate action to the forefront. The song serves as a reminder of the importance of raising awareness about climate change and the impact that our decisions have on the planet on which we depend, highlighting the need to work together for a greener, more prosperous, and sustainable future.
