Screening of the film ‘1916: The Irish Rebellion’ at the Cinémathèque

A documentary film 1916: The Irish Rebellion narrated by Liam Neeson and produced by the University of Notre Dame, a new production specially commissioned for the Centenary Commemoration, will be shown at the Cinémathèque, Place du Théâtre at 17.00 on Sunday, 24 April 2016.

The film gives a wider perspective on the Rising and includes elements of the international assistance and support received. It lasts about 90 minutes.

There is a possibility of a musical contribution by Comhaltas at this event. However, as space is extremely limited, this will require further consideration by the organisers.
