Screening of the film ‘1916: The Irish Rebellion’ at the Cinémathèque
A documentary film 1916: The Irish Rebellion narrated by Liam Neeson and produced by the University of Notre Dame, a new production specially commissioned for the Centenary Commemoration, will be shown at the Cinémathèque, Place du Théâtre at 17.00 on Sunday, 24 April 2016

Lecture by Dr Fearghal McGarry, historian, writer and lecturer
A lecture by the prominent Irish writer and historian Dr Ferghal McGarry was held on Wednesday 20 April 2016 in the European School in Kirchberg. It was a great success with over 200 attendees. Before the lecture there was music and a display of Irish dancing by members of the Luxembourg Comhaltas Ceoltóirí.

European hurling and camogie competition in the Grand Duchy
The Gaelic Sports Club of Luxembourg are organising a European Hurling and Camogie Tournament and teams from across Europe have been invited. The tournament will take place from 10.00-18.00 on Saturday 16 April in Hostert (near Senningerberg).
