Vacancy at the Embassy of Ireland in Luxembourg

The Embassy of Ireland is recruiting for the position of part time clerk (mornings) and all information on the position are available from DO Recruitment at www.dorecruit.com (ref 1510/9). The starting date will be agreed with the successful candidate and it is envisaged that the post will be filled during early December 2015.

UCD in Historic Europa League Win

The Students lost 2-1 on the night against F91 Dudelange, but ultimately progressed on away goals, after winning the home leg 1-0 in Belfield last week.

Shamrock Rovers will face Progrès Niederkorn in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa League on Tuesday, 30 June at Stade Municipal Oberkorn in Oberkorn, Luxembourg. Kick off time is at 19.00 (and not 18.00 as previously announced).

TRADFEST BELGIUM

The Embassy of Ireland in Belgium will run Belgium’s first ever traditional Irish music festival between 10-14 June 2015.

TRADFEST Belgium 2015 will see an explosion of vibrant Irish music across Brussels this June with over 50 contributors spread across 10 venues.

Tickets for the headline act Kíla on 11 June are available on the Bozar website.

Easter Fire - Celebration of St. Patrick's Day

St Patrick, Patron of Ireland, is one of the most celebrated missionary saints in Europe, if not the world. Following a tradition, the International Parish of Luxembourg will have a Mass to celebrate his feast on 16th March at 19:30. This vigil Mass will begin with ‘Easter Fire’, a dramatic presentation of the life and writings of Patrick; it will be celebrated in English and Irish, and all are, of course, welcome. Come and see how the Easter fire lit by Patrick shone brightly in the dark. Refreshments will be served after Mass.

The Irish Club of Luxembourg is a club for all who are Irish or friends of Ireland.
It is a non-profit making organisation which, since its establishment in 1985, has organised numerous social events in Luxembourg. One event which has become a landmark event in Luxembourg's social calendar is the ICL’s annual St Patrick's Dinner Party which attracts people of all ages, nationalities and professional backgrounds.

Rose Ball 2015

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland's largest festivals. The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee. The contestants are not judged on their appearances but on their personality and suitability to serve as ambassadors for the festival and Ireland in general. The festival is held annually in August in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
