Mayor of Vilnius visits the Embassy

Ambassador Noonan welcomed the Mayor of Vilnius, Remigius Semasius, to the Embassy today (13 October) to address a meeting of the European Business Network.

The Mayor gave a presentation on the future of Vilnius, outlining the strategic direction of the city in the years to come. The Mayor focussed on areas such as childcare, public transport, infrastructure and social initiatives.

Thanking the Mayor for his presentation to the large gathering of sixty business people and diplomats, the Ambassador welcomed the open discussion that followed the Mayor’s discussion and noted that the quality of the discussion reflected the interest of the EBN members as well as the quality of thought offered to them by the Mayor.

The European Business Network is organised by the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia and the Netherlands and brings together business people for networking and business development. Further details can be found at www.ebn.it
