Irish Community in Liberia
Ireland’s link with Liberia stretches back over a number of decades from the early activity of Irish Missionaries working in education to the Defence Forces peacekeeping presence.
The establishment of a diplomatic presence in Liberia has enabled closer connections with the Irish community and planning for a broader promotion and celebration of Irish culture.
The Embassy’s first Saint Patrick’s Day event took place in 2018. Saint Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of what it means to be Irish and we will continue to showcase Ireland at our annual Embassy reception.
