St. Patrick's Day at the Embassy, 2017

This year the Embassy's St. Patrick's Day Reception was held on 16 March at the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation. It was attended by a capacity audience of 220 guests including Minister of Justice Dzintars Rasnacs.

Ambassador Seamus Mac Aonghusa in his speech covered Speaker Inara Murniece's recent visit to Dublin and her meetings with the Ceann Comhairle, Cathaoirleach and Minister Katherine Zappone.

A feature of this year's outcome was the major increase in social media penetration with 601 followers on Facebook, 566 on Twitter. This success was helped by the second Greening of Riga City Hall in cooperation with Mayor Nils Usakovs.
