Consular Fees

Consular Fees charged by the Department of Foreign Affairs on various services.

Fees are charged for certain consular services such as issuing passports and visas, foreign birth registrations, authentication of documents and administering oaths. These fees are fixed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade by way of Statutory Instrument issued under Section 3 of the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Provision of Services) Act, 1993.

Please note that the fees charged for some diplomatic and consular services have increased since 1 January 2014. The full list of DFAT consular fees is available here. Please note that not every mission offers every service listed. Contact the Embassy for further details on services provided.
