Office Manager/Consular Officer at the Embassy of Ireland

The Embassy of Ireland is seeking a highly organised, self-motivated professional for the role of Office Manager/Consular Officer

Position details

Start date: July 10 2017

Contract duration: Ongoing upon successful completion of a six-month probation period

Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am to 2pm on Fridays with some additional hours from time to time

Starting Salary: ­­­­­­­­­­­­­ 13,682.90 NIS gross per month, depending on skills and experience.

Annual Leave: 20 days per annum plus public holidays.

Eligibility:

Candidates must be able to speak and write fluently in both English and Hebrew. Knowledge of Arabic would also be an advantage.

Proficiency in the management of accounts and experience of accounting software are a must. Candidates do not need to be Irish citizens, although knowledge and experience of Ireland will be taken into consideration. Candidates will preferably have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

Shortlisted applicants must be available for interview at the Embassy of Ireland at 2 Jabotinsky, Ramat Gan, during the week of 19 June, 2017.

Duties

Overall responsibility for management of Embassy accounts, including responsibility for SUN and Vision accounting systems

Management of internal Chancery affairs including but not exclusive to, filing, service contracts, yearly inventory, office maintenance

Coordination with Diplomatic staff in the management of local HR issues

Responsibility for processing Visa applications

Responsibility for processing Passport and Citizenship applications

Responsibility for organising logistics for official visits

Responding to public queries at the Embassy and by telephone and email.

Information management – maintaining adequate hard-copy and electronic files

Assisting and providing cover for the PA to the Ambassador when on leave

Other office duties as assigned
