No, it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process an application. This timeframe begins after your witness has been verified.
If you need to travel urgently, an emergency travel document or a temporary passport can be issued to adults in 1 working day. This is provided you meet the identity requirements and it is a genuine emergency.
Please note, you will need to apply for an exit visa in India and Nepal if you change travel documents.
Emergency travel documents or temporary passports are not normally issued to first time applicants or children.
You cannot track your passport online if you have applied through the Embassy.
