Writers and Conflict - A literary evening

130 members of the Delhi literary, business and cultural communities joined the embassy for a night with writers Paro Anand, Amandeep Sandhu and Samanth Subramanian. The authors read from their work and discussed the role of the writer in portraying or interpreting conflict.

British Irish Visa Scheme

Indian applicants will soon be able to avail of the new British-Irish Visa Scheme launched in October 2014 by Irish Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald, and UK Home Secretary Teresa May.

This scheme will allow short term visa applicants, like tourists, to travel both Ireland and Britain on the same visa.

Rachel Allen in Delhi with Goal

The Embassy was delighted to welcome Irish Chef Rachel Allen to an event at the Oberoi in Delhi on 19 June. Rachel was in India to promote the work of Goal, an Irish humanitarian NGO which began operating in Kolkata in the 1970s.
