The Embassy of Ireland in Hungary invites applications for the position of Driver/Administrative Assistant.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Embassy team to ensure an efficient service for the Ambassador and Embassy staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

-        Drive Ambassador and staff to various appointments, events and functions

-        Maintenance of official vehicle

-        Deliver and collect official documents and mail, as required

-        Assist in administrative tasks

-        Support work of other Embassy staff, as required

-        Other duties that may be assigned from time to time, including around official events organised by the Embassy

Qualifications

-        Full, clean driving licence with minimum of 5 years driving experience

-        Good level of spoken English and fluent Hungarian

-        Extensive knowledge of the city of Budapest, in particular government and public buildings

-        Previous experience in a similar role

The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including: salary plus 25% overtime allowance and paid annual leave, in line with local laws. Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, however, the successful candidate may be required to work outside normal working hours.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting procedures and provide a medical clearance certificate. Any offer of employment is subject to obtaining the required clearances.
