On 12th June, the Embassy hosted the annual Henry Grattan Lecture with former Taoiseach John Bruton as the key note speaker. The Henry Grattan Lecture forms part of an annual series with the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin and this is the fifth year the Embassy hosted the lecture. The topic of Mr Bruton's lecture was 'New Faultlines in Europe...the Political Consequences of Recent UK Decisions'. The Head of the School Gail McElroy chaired proceedings, including a Q&A with the former Taoiseach and response from Professor in German, Mary Cosgrove.
