Ireland on Stage at Europe Day celebrations

May 7, 2016 Tallinn

Europe Day is annually celebrated in Tallinn with a day full of activities and performances, incl. open doors day of all EU missions resident in Estonia, big food fair and information tent on the city centre’s biggest square – Freedom Square. The event is mostly organised by the EC Rep in Estonia. The day features various activities for people of all ages, e.g. concerts, competitions, leisure activities, interviews.

In collaboration with the EC Rep in Estonia, the Embassy is hoping to raise awareness of the 1916 commemoration and Irish culture and promote links with Ireland including tourism and business at this major open air public event marking the Europe Day. The Embassy is planning, in addition to opening its doors to the public and have an Ireland stall at a the day’s Information Tent, to present a performance by either local or Irish musicians and/or dancers on the main stage of the celebrations’ centre the Freedom Square.
