The Embassy is located on Ritan East Road, near to Jianguomenwai Dajie, and to the south-east of Ritan Park.

The nearest subway station is Yonganli on Line 1, a five-minute walk away. Jianguomen Station, which is on Lines 1 and 2, is a 15-minute walk away.

The Embassy is open from 09.00-12.30 and from 13.30-17.00, from Monday to Friday.

If you are an Irish citizen and require urgent assistance while the Embassy is closed, please dial the Embassy at +86 10 8531 6200.  If you leave a voicemail the Embassy’s Duty Officer will be notified and will deal with genuine consular emergencies that cannot wait until office hours.

The Embassy of Ireland in China will be closed on the following dates in 2023:

 

  • New Year's Day: Sunday 1 January – office closed Monday 2 January

 

  • Chinese Spring Festival: Saturday 21 January to Monday 23 January – office closed Monday 23 January to Wednesday 25 January

 

  • Tomb-sweeping Festival: Wednesday 5 April

 

  • International Labour Day: Monday 1 May

 

  • Dragon Boat Festival: Thursday 22 June

 

  • Mid-Autumn Festival: Friday 29 September

 

  • China National Day Holiday: Sunday 1 October to Tuesday 3 October – office closed Monday 2 October to Wednesday 4 October

 

  • Christmas & St Stephen’s Day: Monday 25 December to Tuesday 26 December
