Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of Ireland in Toronto.
The Consulate was established in September 2022. The opening of this new Mission is part of the Global Ireland initiative for Ireland to double its influence and impact in the world by 2025.
The remit of the Consulate includes the Provinces of Ontario (except for the Ottawa region), Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Building on the work of the Irish Embassy in Ottawa, and in close cooperation with Enterprise Ireland, the IDA and Tourism Ireland in Toronto, the Consulate General team will work to promote Irish interests across our consular area.
A key part of our role will be getting to know the vibrant Irish community in our consular area. I look forward to meeting many members of the Irish community and friends of Ireland during my time as Consul General. Any ideas for potential collaboration would be very welcome so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via our website.
This website contains lots of information on the work of the Consulate and our colleagues in Embassy Ottawa, and the Irish State Agencies working in Canada, which I hope you will find useful.
As the Consulate gets established, consular services, such as passports, visas, and emergency assistance, will continue to be provided by the Embassy in Ottawa.

Le gach dea-ghuí/ With best wishes,
