Tralee represented at the International Youth Games in Lake Macquarie
George O'Keeffe, Vice-Consul, was delighted to welcome to Australia the Tralee team for the 2014 International Children's Games in Port Macquarie. Established in 1966, the Games were founded to promote peace, understanding, and friendship among youth through a sports and cultural festival. The team spend their first view days hosted by the Kerry Association in Sydney before making the trip south to Port Macquarie where the boy's football team made it to the quarter-finals before being knocked out by the eventual winners of the competition Lanarkshire (Scotland).
