Aisling Irish Center 

The Aisling Center's main principle is to assist Irish immigrants in their transition to life in the USA. Aisling Irish Center is one of the largest Irish immigrant resource centers in the tri-state area and the main provider of services for the elderly Irish and Irish-American community in Yonkers and Woodlawn, New York. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the Aisling Irish Center and provide funding for three important projects:

1)      Mind Yourself Project

Battery Heritage Foundation

Battery Heritage Foundation 

The Battery Heritage Foundation is dedicated to documenting the tales of Irish Immigrant women from the 18 and 1900’s so their stories are never forgotten and their role in developing the Irish in NY and the US is always remembered. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support The Irish Mission at Watson House – The Battery Heritage Foundation and provide funding to assist with the work they do.

Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Bay Ridge St. Patrick's Day Parade

2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade which is run on the last Saturday of March each year in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, New York. All generations of Irish and Irish Americans participate in the Bay Ridge parade. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade and provide funding towards the organisation of their 25th anniversary parade.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities

In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the Catholic Charities and provide funding for their Irish Outreach Project.

This project was established in 1987 and it provides frontline advice, counselling and support services to the Irish community in New York, including information and referral, immigration legal assistance, social services, pastoral services, maternity services, healthcare information and referral and general support for individuals, families and the elderly, including those in prison.

Commodore John Barry Arts & Cultural Center

The mission of the Commodore John Barry Arts & Cultural Center is to sponsor and support programmes and activities in the Delaware Valley (includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware) that teach, celebrate and promote Irish art, culture, and heritage. Digital Irish 

Digital Irish’s goal is to connect the Digital Irish community globally; to promote the expansion of Irish startups, by providing access to resources and networking opportunities in areas such as social media, mobile, online advertising, digital agencies, search, analytics, video, e-commerce or other online-centric B2B or B2C plays.

Emerald Isle Immigration Center

The Emerald Isle Immigration Center (EIIC)  was founded in 1988 and is a not for profit entity created to exercise and protect the privileges and interests of the community; to foster a healthy interest in the civic affairs of the community, to help immigrants acquire US citizenship, and to inquire into civic abuses and seek reformation thereof. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the Emerald Isle Immigration Center and provide funding for three important projects:

Gaelic American Athletic Association

 Gaelic American Athletic Association

The mission of the Gaelic American Athletic Assoc. of Buffalo, NY Inc. (also known as Buffalo Irish Center) is to act as the fulcrum through which their Irish culture and heritage can be shared with the community.  It is a gathering place for those of Irish descent as well as those who wish to learn more about the Irish heritage. They are open to the public and welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds. The GAAA is the organization that helps keep the Buffalo Irish Centre thriving.

Gingold Theatrical Group

In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support Gingold Theatrical Group and provide funding assistance towards PROJECT SHAW - a concert reading series open to the general public at NY’s Symphony Space, presents rarely seen plays by Bernard Shaw & other Irish playwrights such as W.B. Yeats, Oscar Wilde, & James Joyce.

Since the spring of 1993, Glucksman Ireland House at New York University has evolved into a vibrant and prominent centre for the presentation and understanding of Irish and Irish-American scholarship and culture.

The goals of the Greater Danbury Cultural Foundation are the preservation and teaching of the Irish heritage and culture for their own enrichment and enjoyment as well as the next generation's and for all people who are interested in the Irish heritage through a programme of teaching, workshops and cultural events. Hudson Valley Irish Fest and Center promote Irish arts, literature, language, history, support for recent and established immigrants and Irish immigration centers, and all aspects of Irish/ Irish American heritage. Irish Immigration Center Philadelphia

The Irish Immigration Center was founded in 1998 to meet the needs of the Irish immigrant community in Philadelphia. Their work focuses on the most vulnerable members of their community, however they also provide advice and support on a range of issues of interest to the Irish and immigrant communities in the Philadelphia region.

Irish American Community Center 

The mission of the Irish American Community Center is to promote Irish culture and Irish sport, to provide a place where families can gather at their facility to feel a sense of home. Irish theatre, music, language, song, dance, and sport play a huge part in the Centre’s identity.

Irish Cultural & Sports Association of Southern Connecticut

In 2011, a dedicated group of Irish Community Volunteers created the Irish Cultural and Sports Association of Southern Connecticut in order to promote and share their Irish Heritage with southern Connecticut and to give everyone the opportunity to meet new people and exchange ideas. 

In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the Irish Cultural and Sports Association of Southern Connecticut and provide funding for their Drama group lighting and audio upgrade.

 Irish Heritage Society of Milford

The purpose of the Irish Heritage Society of Milford is to bring about the association of individuals of Irish descent or relationship, in whole or in part, for the purpose of conducting educational and benevolent activities of all kinds, including the conducting of meetings, forums and research into Irish culture, providing funds for the study of Irish music, dance, and humanities, presentation of Irish culture to the community at large and the pursuit of cultural advancement of the Irish through cooperative means with local communities and institutional organizations

New York Irish Center

The primary objective of the New York Irish Center is to provide front-line services, both cultural and social. Their mission is informed by three words: Community. Culture. Care. The New York Irish Center focuses on a range of subjects from immigration support to providing assistance to the elderly. The New York Irish Center also prides itself on providing cultural programs including classes, activities, and public performances that afford their community the opportunity to explore their Irish heritage which brings the community together.

Origin Theatre Company

Origin Theatre 

Origin Theatre Company founded the ‘First Irish Theatre Festival’ in 2008, New York's annual festival of Irish theatre (and the only theatre festival in the world dedicated to Irish and Irish American playwrights). The month-long festival ran in 12- 15 venues across New York City during September for the last nine years, and for the first time in 2016, ‘First Irish’ also featured on stages in Connecticut, Cincinnati, Chicago and Washington DC.

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University

Ireland's Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University

The mission of Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University is to collect, preserve, exhibit and study its collection of art, artifacts and literature relating to the Irish Famine/Great Hunger that occurred from 1845–52. In doing so, it seeks to educate audiences of all ages about the underlying political, social, economic and historic causes to the Great Hunger, and the magnitude of the disaster on Ireland and its people. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University and provide funding for their wonderful project, Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger.

Rosenbach Museum & Library

Rosenbach Museum &  Library 

The Rosenbach Museum & Library houses one of the finest collections of Irish literature in the United States, with the original manuscript of Joyce’s Ulysses, Bram Stoker’s autograph notes for Dracula, and manuscripts by Oscar Wilde, John Keats, and others. The Rosenbach also produces Philadelphia’s Bloomsday, a day of free readings, Irish music, theatre and food, attracting an audience of thousands. In 2017 The Emigrant Support Programme was delighted to support the in Philadelphia and provide funding for their Bloomsday 2017 Project
