Ireland Stand at the Asian Financial Forum

A key focus for the Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong is to support Team Ireland & Irish Funds in their promotion of Ireland & Irish technology to the Chinese financial services sector. Arising from the visit of Minister Simon Harris in 2015, there will be, for the first time, a stand at this year's Asian Financial Forum with experts from Team Ireland on hand to meet delegates.

The Asian Financial Forum is a major event in the business and Government calendar in Hong Kong and the wider region. This year’s event is expected to attract more than 2,400 delegates, including representatives of the key financial companies in Hong Kong, China and the Asia-Pacific Region as well as Government and regulatory officials.
The event is widely covered by local and international media with networks broadcasting directly from the conference venue where Ireland's national stand will be located.

In addition to the representatives from Team Ireland in China led by Ambassador Paul Kavanagh, the Department of Finance will be represented by Assistant Secretary Neil Ryan. The event will also be attended by a delegation from the Ireland Hong Kong Business Forum led by Liam Kavanagh of the Irish Times.

To coincide with the Asian Financial Forum, the Irish Funds will host a special seminar at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Registration can be made on the Irish Funds site.
