19 October: An evening with Mark O'Neill, Author & Journalist

Join us for a special evening with Mark O'Neill, a Hong Kong based journalist & author who will discuss and read form his latest book, The Miraculous History of China's Two Palace Museums, about China's two most famous museums, located in Beijing (Palace Museum, in the Forbidden City) and Taipei (National Palace Museum).

14 June: Bloomsday Celebration with Trinity College Chapel Choir

To celebrate Bloomsday the Consul General will host an evening of readings from James Joyce's Ulysses with special guest performers, the Trinity College Dublin Chapel Choir led by Dr Kerry Houston.

11 June: A Life in Prayer & Music the Anglican Way & TCD Choir

On Saturday, 11 June from 11 am - 3 pm, HKSKH Ming Hua Theological College will host the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) Chapel Choir for a performance of the musical liturgy & a discussion of the theology of public prayer and music.

2 June: Special event with NUI Galway visitors & Dómhnal Slattery

The Consul General together with Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, invites you to join him & members of the Irish business community to welcome visiting post-graduate students undertaking an MSc in International Management at NUI Galway.

The Consul General will host an informal evening of Irish poetry & music with a special tasting of Hyde Irish Whiskey, to welcome the visiting Irish speakers and delegates attending an Irish Literary Conference in the Chinese University of Hong Kong & the Hong Kong Institute of Education

18 May: 'Insider's' Irish Whiskey Tasting with Teeling Whiskey

The Consul General of Ireland, Peter Ryan, together with the co-founder of the Irish Whiskey Society of Hong Kong & Macau, Ian Carroll (Chair, Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong) invite you to join them for a special 'Insider's' Irish Whiskey Tasting event with Martin Lynch, Asia-Pacific Manager of Teeling Whiskey Co.

10 May: Tech Focus with Denis McCarthy, Group CEO, FEXCO

March 2016

21 March: Mise Éire - A Concert marking 100th Anniversary of 1916

The Consulate General of Ireland has worked with the local community to arrange a number of Easter Rising-related events in both Hong Kong and Macau. The highlight of the Consulate's programme of events will take place on Monday, 21 March, with a special concert at Wah Yan College, where Irish Jesuits have been based since 1926.

3 March: Insiders evening with Dómhnal Slattery

The Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong works closely with the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong to promote stronger business links with Ireland. As part of an ongoing 'Insiders' Series, the Consulate and Chamber are collaborating on a special event with Dómhnal Slattery, Founder & Chief Executive of Avolon, a global business leader in the transportation leasing industry.

February 2016

11 February: Women in Business event with Irish Chamber of Commerce, HK

The Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong works closely with the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong to support their efforts to promote stronger business links with Ireland. In a new initiative for 2016, the Consulate and Chamber will collaborate on a number of events titled 'Women in Business'. The first event will feature Sam McDaid, the only Irish Feng Shui Master in Asia.

11 February: 'Technology Focus' event with Irish Chamber of Commerce, HK

The Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong works closely with the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong to promote stronger business links with Ireland. As part of a new initiative for 2016, the Consulate and Chamber will collaborate on a number of events titled 'Technology Focus'. The first event will feature the Irishmen behind RISE, Asia's largest start-up event.

January 2016

15 January: Ireland to host Stand at the Asian Financial Forum, Hong Kong 

A key focus for the Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong is to support Team Ireland & Irish Funds in their promotion of Ireland & Irish technology to the Chinese financial services sector. Arising from the visit of Minister Simon Harris in 2015, there will be, for the first time, a stand at this year's Asian Financial Forum with experts from Team Ireland on hand to meet delegates.
