Macau Celebration of Yeats 150

Since its establishment in 2014, the Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong has been working to enhance relations between Ireland and Hong Kong and Macau SARs. A particular focus of our work is in the area of cultural relations and we are delighted to be joining the global celebrations of the life, work and legacy of W. B. Yeats.

2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Nobel Prize-winning Irish poet, William Butler Yeats.

Events have been organized around the world to commemorate Yeats’ life and works.

Together with Dr Glenn McCartney, British Honorary Consul in Macau, we hope you will join us on Wednesday, 16 December in the Irish Coffee House in Taipa for an informal evening of poetry and song. Sincere thanks to Matthew of the University of Macau for working with us.
