Hong Kong is a busy office from a Consular viewpoint and the provision of excellent consular services to the Irish Community is a key priority for the new Consulate.

For the last 8 years, working firstly with former Honorary Consul Harry O' Neill, and since August 2014 with the new Consulate, Celeste was the main point of contact for many members of the Irish Community in Hong Kong and Macau. Her professionalism and helpful manner made an impression with many members of the Community and she will be missed by the community and her colleagues alike.

In paying tribute to Celeste, the Consul General and Vice-Consul recognised Celeste's immense contribution, not alone for the period during which she operated with the Honorary Consul, but in particular her support to Team Ireland in Hong Kong since the opening of the new Consulate in August 2014
