Visit to Boston by Mr. Joe McHugh TD, Minister of State with Special Responsibility for the Gaeltacht and Natural Resources

Minister of State Joe McHugh visited Boston from 6-10 October 2014. During his trip, he visited Boston College and gave a talk at the Burns Library on the Irish language to an invited audience. He travelled to Elms College in Chicopee where his Department supports an Irish language Fulbright scholar. He dropped in on Irish languages classes and students at the Irish Cultural Center Canton and the Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury. He gave the opening address at the business lunch of the Golden Bridges conference which took place in Boston from 8-9 October.
