Statement by Minister Coveney on publication of Report into Iveagh House, 17 June 2020

Announcing details of the publication of the Review of workplace arrangements in Iveagh House on 17 June 2020, Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney T.D. said:

“On January 13th 2022, I asked the Secretary General of the Department of Foreign Affairs for a report into the circumstances leading up to the publication of a photograph from the offices of Iveagh House on June 17th 2020. There was a commitment to complete the review by the end of January and this commitment has been met. I today received his report and I am publishing it in full.

I believe the report is a fair and balanced account into the events which occurred on 17 June 2020. I note the conclusions and welcome the actions being taken by the Secretary General.”
