Statement by the Tánaiste on the attack in Nairobi

"I condemn in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack at the Westgate Shopping Centre in Nairobi.

I express my deepest sympathy to the families of the deceased and injured.  We are following the situation as it develops through our Honorary Consulate in Nairobi and our Embassy in Dar es Salaam.

Ireland and our EU partners will stand in solidarity with the government and people of Kenya at this most difficult time."
