Legal Adviser (Second Secretary)

The Legal Adviser provides advice and assistance to the Minister for Foreign Affairs to ensure that Irish foreign policy is formulated and interpreted in a manner consistent with Ireland's international legal obligations, having regard to the relevant sources of international law, including treaty obligations and appropriate policy goals. It is a diverse, challenging and interesting role, working to protect and advance Ireland’s values and interests.
