What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a very effective way of keeping up-to-date with the latest information on this website. Rather than visit our site to find out if new content has been added, RSS will tell you when the new articles that you want are available by delivering them directly to you.

2. Getting started with RSS?
Generally, the first thing you need is a ready-made programme called a newsreader, which is no harder to use than email or web browsers. Most newsreaders are applications that are downloaded from the Web and installed on your computer.

There are many different types of newsreaders available for download (remember to select a newsreader that will work with your operating system):

- Awasu

Mac OS X
- Newsfire
- NetNewsWire

If you don't want to download newsreader software, you can simply visit a website that acts as a reader such as www.feedster.com or my.yahoo.com

Finally, there are some browsers, including Firefox and Opera, which automatically detect RSS feeds for you and also allow you to "bookmark" them. More details are available on their websites.

3. How do I use RSS to get content?
Once you have installed a newsreader, then you can decide what content you want. If you would like the latest press releases, for instance, visit the press release section where you will notice an orange RSS button on the page.

By clicking on the button you can subscribe to the feed in a number of different ways. One method is to drag the URL of the RSS feed into your newsreader; another is to cut and paste the same URL into a new feed in your newsreader.
